Moscow: Some children are very active and can't concentrate anywhere, but this condition can be improved with yoga and breathing exercises.

Some children are abnormally hyperactive and quickly lose their focus whether it is sports, food or education. Its severe condition is called ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Such children have now been given yoga and breathing exercises in special classes, which have increased their calmness and attention.

The Oral Federal University in Russia conducted the experiments and published the findings in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry. This included 16 children between the ages of 6 and 7 who had severe ADHD. These children were also causing a lot of trouble for their parents.

Dr. Sergei Kaislev, a specialist in the laboratory of brain and neurology at the university, says that children with ADHD have a system that regulates brain activity. This causes them to become confused and distracted over and over again.

The scientists seated the children in a group and gave them deep breathing exercises. It improves oxygen and blood flow to the brain and calms the nerves. In addition, yoga has been shown to reduce physical stress and bring relief to children.

Medical and psychiatrists also examined the children. The difference between these exercises was also immediately noticeable. Some children practiced yoga and breathing exercises for a year, then they became accustomed to deep breathing and their attention improved, mental confusion decreased and their parents also breathed a sigh of relief.

In this regard, the Russian psychiatrist Anna Saminovich has compiled all the exercises. He believes that yoga and breathing exercises can be extremely helpful in reducing ADHD.
